Presidents’ Message

 

Greetings from your new Co-Presidents, Melissa Conlon and Lisa Marks! 

 

We look forward to a fantastic 2008-2009 serving the Larimer County Medical Society Alliance.  We started off this new year with a blast!  By partnering with the Larimer County Medical Society, we welcomed our newest physicians and their spouses to the community with our annual Margarita Mixer.  This event was hosted by Sarg and Falu Gill on Saturday, August 23, and was a festive way to bring the medical community together.

 

Our vision for the upcoming year includes strengthening the medical community by uniting its members and their families, working toward common goals and issues in medicine and our local community, and maintaining our connections with one another at social and fundraising events.  We will continue our partnership with the leaders of the Larimer County Medical Society, as well as our state organization, the Colorado Medical Society Connection.

 

As members of the Alliance, you may participate as much or as little as you want.  However, we encourage you to join us at a high level of participation to make a difference in this organization and our community.  With the continuing changes in medicine, it is important to be informed as well as present a strong and unified voice to our elected leaders.  There is rewarding work to be done in our local community.  And finally, wonderful friendships are made by caring about one another, sharing our work and interests, and working together on the greater causes of improving the practice of medicine and the lives of others.

 

 We have many things planned for the year.  Please take a moment to read this newsletter, mark your calendars with the dates of important meetings and events, and please contact us at any time with comments, concerns, or suggestions as to how our Alliance may be strengthened.  We welcome your input.
