Metropolitan Denver Medical Societies Alliance
The time has come for a serious discussion about the future of the Metropolitan Denver Medical Societies Alliance. MDMSA last met in December 2008 at the Denver County Club. The members that attended that event wanted to continue a social group but no one stepped up to take the reins. Our interest groups continue to keep members in touch with each other, while they play bridge, discuss a book, or share a meal at the gourmet group. These core groups have been around for many years. The Governing committee has served for several years now and is more than ready to have someone else step up to take over the leadership of the group. Members willing to plan events, send out dues notices, serve as treasurer, and write and mail newsletters are needed for MDMSA to continue. The few members that have paid dues this year have done so through the Colorado Medical Society dues billing to our physician spouse. We are a non-functioning group with the exception of the Special Interest groups. Therefore, your attendance at the luncheon planned for Thursday, February 25 at Cherry Hills Village III Clubhouse is important. This will be your opportunity to voice your opinion and cast your VOTE on the future of the Metro Denver Alliance. If there are no new volunteers to head the Alliance, it is our intention to discus DISSOLUTION. At the end of the discussion — we will call for a VOTE. We encourage you to attend this IMPORTANT meeting and look forward to seeing you there.
