The past year has been a busy one for the Colorado Medical Society Alliance.  After lots of discussion and debate, we joined forces with the Colorado Medical Society and COPIC to develop and implement a strategic plan to revamp and revitalize our organization.  We understand that times have changed, people are busy and the world communicates at an incredibly fast pace.  Our organization must adapt to the members we serve and offer them the opportunity to participate as their schedule permits. 

 

Today we introduce to you the Colorado Medical Society CONNECTION ... a grassroots organization of physicians, physician spouses, and medical student and resident physician spouses to actively participate in building a healthy Colorado. 

 

Colorado has a healthcare crisis. Access and cost are just two of the issues facing consumers as well as healthcare providers. Physicians now more than ever, do much more than just practice medicine.  They have to be business people, legislative advocates, healthcare policy experts and attorneys. Yet there is still a need to be a part of the community.

 

The Colorado Medical Society Connection, the organization of physicians and physicians spouses, will be working together to bridge the gap between two communities -- the medical community who works to provide healthcare services and the consumers who depend on those services.  Along with being physicians and spouses of physicians, we are consumers of health care.  Join us as we build a bridge with a grassroots organization that is strong, flexible, open, diverse, and effective.   

 

To be successful we need your help.  Whether it’s lobbying the legislature, working with the Colorado Medical Society on specific projects or simply sending an email, we know The Connection can make a difference in the healthcare community. 

 

We are asking you to join us in partnering with physicians as we work together for a healthy Colorado.  Add your voice and expertise to others around our great state working on the critical issues impacting our communities.  Add your voice and expertise to play a leadership role in remaking Colorado’s health care system.   Add your voice and expertise to the Connection to effect important change and set a national standard for grassroots groups.
